The verse where he sings about a paperback novel from a drugstore has always called to mind a vivid tale of a tragic love story. A decrepit gothic castle overlooking a wave battered cliffside; candles barely illuminating threadbare, velvet covered furniture; dark corners of peeling wallpaper enlaced with years of mangled, drooping cobwebs. In the walls of this crumbling manor, a love story unfolds. Enrapture, my first collection for FreeSpirit, sets the stage for this romance.
