"When I am working on a new collection, I spend time leading up to art delivery playing in my sketchbook. This helps me create the initial energy behind the art. The sketchbook is where all the magic happens for me and I use it to record fun drawing ideas for the theme. My daughter Violet and I went for a walk and found a bunch of beautiful ginkgo leaves. We took them home, brushed them with acrylic paint, and rubbed the back with a spoon until it transferred to a new sheet of paper.
