This fusible web from Callie Del is paper backed making it a favorite for appliqué, garment sewing, home décor, craft projects, and quilting.
• Paper backing allows for drawing shapes first before completing the two-step fusing process for your appliqué and various art projects.
• Fabric remains soft after fusing.
• Nice choice for landscape quilts and wearables.
• Bonds fabric to fabric, fabric to porous surfaces like wood and cardboard, and more.
• Machine stitchable.
• Acid-Free
Use Instructions:
Note* It is always recommended to test the product on a scrap piece from your project before applying interfacings to the entire piece so you can adjust pressing times and heat as needed.
1. If pretreating fabrics, do not use fabric softener.
2. Use a pressing sheet to avoid transferring web to your iron.
3. Protect your ironing board with something like a no-stick appliqué sheet or an appli-fuse mat.
4. We recommend a dry iron - no steam - with a wool or medium setting.
5. Place fusible side on the wrong side of fabric and press on the paper side without moving the iron for 2-3 seconds to bond the fusible to the fabric. Pick up and move iron and repeat until entire piece is done.
6. Allow to cool before cutting shapes and removing paper backing to apply to project.
7. Place fusible side of shape on desired surface and press for another 6-8 seconds to fuse in place.
8. Pressing times may need to be adjusted for various fabrics. Be careful not to over press.
9. Finish as desired with either hand or machine stitching.
