Brighter Garden - Weave, Apple - by Sue Penn for Free Spirit Fabrics

From Sue Penn: I moved my studio last year and discovered the large blue floral painting that is the focal piece of this group. The original painting is 40” x 60” and was in a large box that held what I thought were blank canvases. Surprise! I developed the rest of the collection focusing on the group as a whole. I painted thinking in terms of light, medium & dark colorations and small, medium & large patterns. My favorite is actually the large allover named Tempest. I can’t wait to use it in a quilt!
