Cotton the Scrappy Ghost

Now that there is a chill in the air we have Halloween on our mind, starting with our good friend, Cotton the Scrappy Ghost. There is nothing scary about this free mini quilt pattern that you can whip up in a just a couple of hours. Make one ghost and you have a cute mini quilt. Make two and face them opposite directions for a little table runner. Or make several and create a throw quilt. All while using scraps from your stash!

    Supplies list:

    1/3 yard light blue fabric for background

    Scraps of red, white, and dark blue fabric, OR, (1) fat eigth each of red, white, and dark blue fabric

    2/3 yard piece of fabric for backing and corresponding batting

    Coordinating thread

    Sewing supplies including rotary cutter and ruler, pins, sewing machine with new needle, snips and an iron.

Supplies List:

(1) 5″ square Heat N’ Bond Ultrahold, 17in wide, by Therm-o-Web –

(2) 6″ square (or larger) pieces of fabric (can be the same fabric or different!) This is a great project for scraps!

Pencil for tracing the template
Scissors
Iron

Cardboard or card stock to make template, if desired. Pro tip: Use the inside of a cereal box!
