When it gets hot outside, you should come in and have fun out of the sun at Cotton Candy Fabrics! Our Summer Camp Quilt Retreat includes five full days of sewing time on the projects of your choice in our state of the art classroom. Meals are included, as specified below, and outside of a great time sewing, we'll have fun games, pop up quilt demos, and show and tell. All of this will take place in our state-of-the-art classroom featuring individual desks for each student, 6 cutting tables with mats, and 4 ironing stations. Bernina 4-series machines available on request so you don't even have to lug your machine! Five days of sewing - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday August 3 - 7, 9am -5pm daily - 40 hours of sewing!!! Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack daily Goodie bag on arrival on Monday - Must sign up for at least 3 days to receive goody bag! Daily recess with a game or demo Coffee, tea, water available all through the retreat as well as lots of sweet treats. If you would like to indulge in an adult beverage, please BYOB. Coffee maker and refrigerator available in the classroom! This is a sew-all-day and sleep at home retreat. However, if you need lodging assistance, please let us know! You will be making a quilt from Pat Sloan's Teach Me to Make My First Quilt book that teaches you all the techniques needed to make you first stunning quilt. Class will cover fabric selection, cutting, piecing, finishing and binding. Class fee includes use of one of our Bernina 400 series machines and cutting and ironing supplies in our comfortable classroom. This is a great time to enhance your quilting skills and make new friends.
