Join our Anna Maria's Rhapsody Block of the Month kick-off party, celebrating her 20 years in fabric design! Rhapsody Block of the month is an exciting program full of creating and skill-building opportunities, designed to explore color and applique with Anna Maria. The Rhapsody collection of fabrics was developed specifically for this quilt, making the applique cutting process feel intuitive and natural. The Rhapsody Quilt is a collage of 20 Anniversary Vases - some framed individually as works of art, others flowing with floral applique - all set within traditional 9-patches and Quarter Square Triangles. The Rhapsody pattern will provide guidance for applique, and Anna Maria is also providing a free monthly video for BOM participants to highlight key techniques and offer added insight for extra confidence.

| Skill Details: | This kickoff party serves to demonstrate the methods of applique to make this quilt. The pattern is divided into five parts and will provide detailed fabric cutting guidance, along with applique methods suitable for both hand and machine work. The pattern is comprehensive and includes two templates, and the kit includes all of the fabric to make the top. |

| Instructor Bio: | Stacey Murren has been quilting for more than 30 years. A long career in higher education led to her passion of teaching a wide variety of quilting techniques and she welcomes beginner to advanced quilters. She attributes her many professional awards to the act of creative quilting. Born and raised in California, each year for the past 30 years she has focused on learning and perfecting quilting techniques from collage, paper piecing, story quilts, memory quilts, applique, crazy patch, thread painting, free motion designs, whole cloth trapunto designs, improv designs to fiber art/mixed media. For the last few years, she has also been making and selling her own patterns. Anything is possible in class with Stacey, and that will become apparent through the broad array of classes she offers. |
