Spend an inspiring morning on Friday, May 8th with author Sue Reich in our Simsbury shop. Sue spent 9 years on the Quilts of Valor Foundation Board of Directors, 8.5 years as president. She is also the co-author of several books featuring Quilts of Valor!

| Instructor Bio: | Sue Reich Registered Nurse for 46 years, 31 years at New Milford ER Living with husband and three children in Washington, CT for 35 years Gold Star Mother of Major Stephen Reich Quilting History - 9 years on the Quilt of Valor Foundation Board of Directors. 8.5 as Board President - Co-Author of Quilts of Valor: A 50 State Salute and Quilts of Valor All Stars and the 2nd edition revision - President and 6 year Board Member of the American Quilt Study Group - 20 year member and past President of the Connecticut Quilt Search Project, 1990-2010. - Author of multiple quilt history books including: Quilts and Quiltmakers: Covering Connecticut; Quilting News of Yesteryear: 1,000 Pieces and Counting; Crazy as a Bed Quilt; World War II Quilts and 2nd Edition, Quiltings, Frolicks and Bees: 100 Years of Signature Quilts; World War I Quilts; Quilts: Presidential and Patriotic; T'was the Night Before Christmas Quilts. - Quilt exhibits at the International Quilt Museum, the National Quilt Museum, the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, the Quilters Hall of Fame; the New England Quilt Museum, the Litchfield Historical Society, the Gunn Museum, AQS shows, Mancuso Quilt Shows, regional quilt shows. - Lectured widely |
