Enjoy this three-day apparel retreat with Sam! You can work on the project of your choice, but with Sam in the house you may want to focus on apparel. He can help you with sizing and fit, fabric selection, design, and construction. Plus, all meals and snacks will be included, and we'll have some fun games and an Apparel Show and Tell. Here's more detail:
Friday - Arrivals and goodie bag. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks provided. Plus a game!
Saturday - Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks provided. Plus a game!
Sunday - Breakfast and afternoon snack provided. Plus Apparel Show and Tell!
Coffee, tea, water available all through the retreat as well as lots of sweet treats. If you would like to indulge in an adult beverage, please BYOB. Coffee maker and refrigerator available in the classroom!
This is a sew-all-day and sleep at home retreat. However, if you need lodging assistance, please let us know!

| Skill Details: | Beginner sewists are welcome, but this class assumes you are comfortable with sewing machine operation and sewing a straight seam. |
| Materials Included: | Includes meals, snacks, help from Sam, and use of a Bernina series classroom machine if needed. |
| Requirements: | There is no supply list for this class as you will be working on the projects of your choice. We always recommend you bring your basic sewing supplies including a rotary cutter and appropriate rulers, thread, extra sewing machine needles, pins or clips and scissors or snips. We will have a fat quarter sharing game at some point over the weekend, so we recommend that you bring six fat quarters to share or trade. Additionally, please bring a finished project for Show and Tell which will take place on Saturday night. |

| Instructor Bio: | Sam Donovan is the Director of Apparel Sewing here at Cotton Candy fabrics. A graduate of Parsons, Sam also appeared on Project Runway twice, where he was a runner-up and an All-Star. His passion for helping people learn how to sew is inherited from his grandmothers, all of whom had a role in his fashion and sewing beginnings. Nowadays, Sam can be found bouncing around the Cotton Candy Sewing Room, soy latte in hand, pins stuck in his shirt pocket, helping people learn the newest apparel pattern Cotton Candy is offering. He hopes to see you in a sewing class soon, but beware: he?ll probably try to get you to try pattern mixing. Watch our calendar for Sam?s apparel classes. |
