Country Snowballs from Kaffe Fassett’s Quilts on an English Farm with Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably
Sunday, September 22, 2024 - 9:30am - 4:30pm (with a one-hour break for lunch)

Join us to make Kaffe’s traditional snowball quilt block that is made fabulous by his colour choices. In this workshop, with Kaffe and Brandon’s guidance, you will create your unique Country Snowball Quilt. 

Choose your fabrics with an eye to the colour or mood you wish to explore. Keep your choices harmonious. For example, if you would like to explore RED, bring reds, oranges, reddish purples, magenta, warm brown, etc. 

You will need 20 or so ¼ and ½ yard cuts different large-scale fabrics. 

Please DO NOT cut fabrics before the class. 

For the points, you may wish to wait and purchase fabrics at the workshop after you have set up your octagons. The quilt is more successful if the points’ colour way is different to your octagon’s colour way. The points create a frame to set off your octagon thereby creating a beautiful snowball. 

Please feel free to bring any fabrics you would like to use to the workshop - these do not have to be Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics. If you are not sure how you are going to proceed, that is okay. Please bring your stash favorites and be prepared to shop with Kaffe and Brandon during the workshop. 

No sewing takes place during the workshop. No sewing machines needed. 

This workshop includes the full day of instruction with Kaffe and Brandon, refreshments and lunch, two yards of Kaffe's Flannel Grid Wall, and a Kaffe Fassett Reducing Glass.

- Your workshop registration is non-refundable unless we fill your spot in the workshop. 
- You must pay in full to secure your registration.
- If you register for a workshop and do not show up, you will not receive a refund.
- We ask that you sign up for only one of the two workshop options. If workshop space remains available after May 1, 2024 you are welcome to sign up for a second workshop.
- If signing up for a friend, please be sure to include your friend's name. 
- Waiting list participants will be contacted on a first listed, first called basis if spots open up for their desired workshop.
