Longarm Rentals

Whether you are interested in purchasing a Handi Quilter longarm machine or just want to completely finish your quilts by yourself, renting time on one of our Handi Quilter machines may be a great solution for you. We offer an Introduction to Longarm Quilting class several times a year, and this class is a pre-requisite to renting time on one of our Handi Quilter machines. Once you’ve completed the class you will be eligible to rent time to finish your tops. Currently rentals are only available in our Brookfield, CT location.

Time is charged by the hour in quarter-hour increments with a two-hour minimum. Whether you are free motion quilting or using our Pro-Stitcher robotic quilting system, the rate is $35.00 per hour. This includes using our thread and bobbins. Note that time is charged for the entire time you are using the machine, even if you experience thread breaks or take a break during your quilting time. Cotton Candy Fabrics is not responsible for any difficulties that you have in quilting your project.

Please note that renting time requires a time commitment on your part to learn the skills needed to operate a computerized longarm quilting machine. We will have staff available to help you, but it is expected that you will learn to use the machine and be reasonably self-sufficient. If you only want to do one or two quilts are you better off having us quilt them for you.
