We pride ourselves in getting orders shipped at lightning speeds. Most orders placed before 2:00pm EST will ship same day. We ship 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday (excluding US Holidays), in order to offer the speediest shipping possible. Please note, order fulfillment on Saturdays is limited and depending on volume, package dispatch may occur the following Monday.
United States Shipping:
All shipping charges are calculated based on the weight of your order.
For orders 15.99oz and under, there is an option between First Class Shipping, Priority Flat Rate Shipping, and Priority Mail Express Shipping.
For orders weighing under 15.9oz, First Class shipping rates are $2.95-$4.55 depending on the weight of the package.
For packages weighing over 15.9oz, a flat rate shipping cost of $6.00 applies*. Most Priority Mail packages shipped within the United States will be delivered within 1-4 business days upon receiving your shipping notification with tracking number. Most priority mail orders will be shipped via USPS. However, some large or bulky packages may be shipped UPS Ground. Depending on your location, transit time will be 1-5 business days if shipped via UPS.
*Please note, there may be an additional surcharge for extra bulky/unusually shaped items.
Insurance within the U.S.:
Please note, all first class shipments do not include ANY insurance. All priority shipping packages include insurance up to $50, but it is recommended that you add insurance for larger orders beyond the $50 limit, as Cotton Candy Fabrics is not responsible for lost or damaged packages. If your package goes missing (whether or not you purchased insurance), please contact your local post office and provide the tracking number that was sent to you when your order shipped (you can also find this tracking number in the "My Account" order history tab.) Shipping to your respective country is based on prevailing rates from USPS or DHL and the weight of your package. When choosing a shipping method, we offer the following options:
USPS does not track First Class and Flat Rate Envelopes once they leave the US. Tracking is only updated if your receiving country participates in the Global Mailing program.
- USPS First Class Mail International (only available to packages under 4 lbs) - packages arrive in an undetermined amount of time. This is the slowest yet most affordable shipping option. Please allow up to 30 days for packages to arrive.
- USPS Priority Mail International - packages arrive within 6-10 business days
- USPS Priority Mail Express International - packages arrive within 3-5 business days
- DHL Express Worldwide - packages arrive within 1-4 business days (1 business day to most of Canada)
DHL Express Worldwide shipping cost is based on the weight of your package and your location. This express service will have your package delivered in 1-4 business days. Shipments to Canada arrive within 1-2 business days & shipments to every other point on the globe arrive within 4 business days. If you need your package quickly, DHL is your best option and also provides the most secure tracking.

Any customs, duties or taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
We are proud to offer a "Shipping Cost Guarantee". This means if you ever pay more than we are charged to ship your package, you will receive a refund for the difference!
Please note, no international shipments have insurance included by default! It is highly recommended that you add insurance at checkout, as Cotton Candy Fabrics is NOT responsible for any lost or damaged packages.
What if My Package is Delayed, Missing, or Damaged Upon Arrival?
For U.S. Shipments:
The majority of packages we disburse are delivered without incident however, packages can go missing or arrive damaged from time to time. If you purchased insurance on your package or chose Priority Mail, your package is protected. If your package goes missing or arrives damaged, please contact us to file a claim. Please note you must wait 21 business days after your order ships before we can file a claim.
The only shipping method that guarantees a delivery date is Priority Mail Express (overnight service). If your package does not arrive the next business day (after receiving the shipping notice), please contact us and you will be able to receive a full refund for your shipping cost provided by the USPS.
For International Shipments:
Please note, USPS does not track International First Class packages once they leave the US. Your package may appear to be "stuck" in customs, a sorting facility or in a particular location. This is normal and your package is still on its way to you. Please note USPS will not open research inquiries on International packages sent First Class International. For increased security and tracking, please choose Priority Mail International or DHL.
For USPS International Shipments: If you chose to add shipping insurance to your package during check out and your package goes missing, then you are in luck! Please contact us to file a claim on your behalf.
For DHL International Shipments: If you chose to add shipping insurance to your package during check out and your packages goes missing, then you are in luck! All you need to do is file a claim with DHL. Claims are responded to fairly quickly and you will need to provide the tracking information that was provided to you in your shipping confirmation email.
