I Spy Quilts have been around forever- but they have certainly taken a backseat to XBOX and YouTube. They started out being made of hexagons, which took forever to cut, construct, and sew.
However, there are many other ways to create these fun quilts for kids of all ages. Terry Atkinson has a great pattern called All About Me, which allows you to use a lot of your great novelty fabrics for an easy (and quick) I Spy Quilt. Raid your stash for fun prints (food, candy, characters, animals, flowers, ocean life, etc) to get started! We have an amazing collection of novelty prints for your I Spy Quilt.
I Spy Quilts don't need to be a full size blanket either! You can use those same scraps to make a fun, travel-sized toddler travel game.
Looking to get started on your I Spy project? We offer Mystery Scrap Packs that are full of various fabrics - a great start to your project and a fun surprise to open and unpack (and definitely our best value for designer fabrics).
Come by our Brookfield location, we'd love to help you piece together and add to your I Spy Quilts! Happy Summer.
